The easy answer is that the minimum font size should be big enough to be easily read from the back of the room. So, what about the minimum font size? A quick search of the internet will tell you the minimum size is anywhere from 18 to 36 pt. Not to mention other factors, such as bold, italics and background colors. To make things even more complicated, not all fonts are the same size! For example, Arial is larger than Times New Roman. The best choice for font size should depend on the size and ratio of the monitor you are presenting with and its distance from the viewer.
